This is a picture of me (on the left) posing for the photo that you see at the top of this page. This year will be my first year participating in the Olympic-style games organized by the International Olympic Committee, but I will never forget the excitement of winning gold medals for the U.S.A. team in the long-distance hockey tournament.
While the Olympics are an incredibly exciting event, it is not a sport. And while I am admittedly a fan of the U.S.A. hockey team, I am not a fan of the I.O.C. Games.
The I.O.C. Games are an event where athletes from all over the world compete in basketball, baseball, and football. Most teams have 10 or so players per team, so you can imagine the number of players competing in each game. This is where the I.O.C. Games begin to fall short of their promise.

I.O.C. Games are a bunch of athletes from all over the world with different skill sets competing in basketball, baseball, and football. Even though it’s only a handful of athletes, the I.O.C Games are an event where athletes from all over the world compete in basketball, baseball, and football. Games like these really do have a place, but they take away from the actual experience of the athletes. When you have 200 people all competing in a single game, it is easy to lose track of who is in what category. Also, if you aren’t in one of the three major sports (baseball, basketball, or football), you won’t be able to participate in the I.O. Games.
And that is why we decided to start the I.O. Games for Paralympics athletes. We have a real interest in helping people with disabilities participate in the Paralympics. We just feel like this is a better way to accomplish this and we are willing to do whatever it takes to make this happen.
All this being said, we are also aware that some of our athletes are not disabled. We are also aware that some of them are in the wrong sports at the wrong time. There is no excuse for this, but that doesn’t mean that we are going to let these athletes get away with this. As a company, we are going to be very diligent in making sure that these athletes can take part in the I.O.
